Chicken

The good thing about living nearly in the country side is that there are chicken about 2 minutes from the house, and going to see them is a weekly activity for Nandu. This weekend I even managed to put a helmet on his head when he uses his scooter. It's probably not fully necessary yet but if he gets used to it early it's going to be easier later... or at least I hope so!

More birthday celebrations

This was on Nandu actual birthday (March 2nd) with my dad, Joanne and our neighbors.

 

And here are a few pictures of our trip to Brussels. More will probably come once I gather them from my cousins.

In Ostende, at the north sea. A bit grey, but it didn't matter to Nandu who had fun throwing seashells in the sea.

Birthday celebrations

Nandu will turn two tomorrow but we already started celebrating with a few friends. I never post pictures of my friend's kids online so you won't see how great of a crowd it was, but with Zoé, Thomas, Nils and Antoine, Nandu had a lot of fun (after being his usual shy for 30 minutes while waking from a nap).

It started at the store, where Nandu decided on a bright pink scooter for his birthday... I did try to encourage blue to avoid problems later, but he was set on it, and who am I to judge!

Then while I was baking his birthday cake he decided he wanted to weigh all his animals. The guy loves to use the scale and see the numbers appear.

We had to light the candles about 4 times before he managed to blow on them properly.

You'll notice the scooter is now blue... This is because Nandu has great godparents that also thought a scooter was a great idea for a birthday gift. Now we have two scooters but at least I won't have problems about colors later :)

We all went for a walk, that didn't last very long because it was still extremly cold.

And he had a lot of fun making it. I had to bribe him with a chocolate biscuit to get home :)

Nandu, future big brother

I guess, I could have written this post a few weeks ago, but for some reasons I wanted to announce this new pregnancy to my family outside of blog/facebook.
But here it is, I am about 16 weeks pregnant and Nandu should become a big brother around June 27. There is not much to say yet, everything is going quite smoothly and apart from sleeping around 10 hours a night I am doing ok!

Nandu is really talking now and it is a lot of fun. Somehow over the Christmas break, he figured out that he can join words together to make "2-words" sentences. He now basically talks non-stop and it is hilarious most of the time. Since he has absolutely no shame in anything he says yet, it's just pure cuteness.

In Pechalifour, he enjoyed being with the family. He was a true sheep dog in the sense that he was always keeping track of who was there and who wasn't, and asking about the people who where not there for some reasons. Randomly he just start naming all the people in knows, and all the animals that are in the village. Leaving was rough on him, but I think he enjoys Alice (his daycare-mom) enough to make up for it.

I should post pictures soon, but I need to get some of my camera and ask around as well.
